It’s only 70 kilometers away to the southwest of Blantyre, Malawi’s commercial hub. This is a 70,000-hectare conservation area in the Lower Shire Valley. Currently, this is a home for the big five, as well as zebras, hippos, crocodiles, and many other antelopes, and more than 300 species of birds with the most beautiful lake in Malawi. With a height of 3,000 meters, Mount Mulanje is the highest peak in Central Africa. Art on rocks, one of UNESCO’s World Heritage Sites. We can see the late Stone Age Image on the rocks in this region. Located within a forested granite hill, the area covers more than 126.4 square kilometers, 127 areas of which are filled with rock art in Central Africa. These arts reflect the culture, and well-being of Chiwa farmers who have created rock art as well as paintings by BaTwa, hunter-gatherers who have lived in this area since the late Stone Age. The nearest city is dezda.
